CEO, Havas PR North America, keynote speaker, trendspotter, author, golden retriever lover, meningioma survivor

Marian, CEO of Havas PR North America, has more than kept up with the rapid evolution of technology and society. She co-founded the first online market research company nearly 20 years ago—back in the days of 2400-baud modems and a novel new service called America Online (an early client)—and remains on the leading edge of understanding, and talking about, the social Web.

An oracle of the social order, Marian helped introduce mainstream America to metrosexuals, singletons and the idea that sleep is the new sex. A champion of social marketing, she’s using our new virtual worlds to raise awareness and funds, and to drive business for her clients. She’s been compared with Carrie Bradshaw because she has lived her tragedies and thrills, but she trains her gimlet eye on significant trends, as well as the marketing opportunities they can create.

Cultural monitoring is in Marian’s blood. Whether in speeches, on TV, to the press or in the blogosphere, Marian can talk about what’s going on—and what’s coming next.
